Fruit for the Children, Nyangombe Fruit Tree Farm

Each year as fruit become ripe, children excitedly scamper up trees. Lemons, oranges, mangoes, guava and avocado all grow well at Nyangombe. There are just not enough trees for all of the children to have fruit.

That is about to change. Expansion of the current grove is underway. Using a technique new to the area called air layering, there should be new trees producing fruit in 2-3 years. The vision is that all the children will have fruit to eat.
