Nyangombe Trainees Working Together
Nyangombe Christian Training Centre trainee programs include mason, carpenter and fabrication skills. A new home construction at Nyangombe has provided the opportunity for these trainees to work together as builders.
Masons make the bricks, poured the footing and floor. They also laid all the bricks to create exterior and interior walls. Mechanics welded doors frames, safety bars for the windows and portions of the roofing. Carpenters constructed the forms for arches, made the windows and trusses as well as the doors and furniture.
Thanks to a generous donation, the materials required for the construction were acquired for this project. Trainees have been encouraged as they have seen their new skills put to good use.
On completion of their training programs, each will have the skills needed to be gainfully employed or start their own business. Through the weekly Biblical Foundations course, many have begun or have strengthened their relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ.
This year, the trainees completed the work on a new house under the supervision and expert instruction of Nyangombe Christian Training Centre leaders and Colin Breeze, Master Builder from the United Kingdom.
